We’re Just Folks Like You

When I was a kid, I stayed at my grandparents’ house with my two cousins just about every weekend. We watched an awful lot of TV, and we were quite adept at reciting whole movies verbatim. We watched the movie “The Three Amigos” ad nauseam, so much so that my grandmother would occasionally hide the videotape (we always found it). We loved to reenact the scene in which the Three Amigos perform the song “My Little Buttercup” for the patrons of the skeevy bar.

I’m not sure, but I’m pretty sure that after a few beers we could probably still do it.

Some people might call them scars

  3. Well, I could have posted about “Who’s Harry Crumb.” That’s the other movie that somehow always got hidden in the hall closet. 😉
