Oxford: Don’t Be A Knob

We’re about to leave the room, so this will be a short post.

We woke up this morning at 4:45 to go to the May Day celebration and it was raining. We went back to sleep. So now it’s sun-shiny and we’re headed out. Full post tonight on our touristy exploits. Oxford is a weird place. My fantasies of it are way different than the reality. I never imagined that actual, 18-19 year old college students attend here. I always imagined a bunch of tweed jacket wearing intellectuals and philosophers smoking pipes and writing novels. Instead you see the same jackasses you see at every college town. See, they even graffiti the walls here. Pity. At least their graffiti is funny, and not written in some weird faux-old English script.

More later.
