I think I’m delirious

I was working on a research paper on Jonathan Swift and I decided to take a break. I wish I hadn’t. I find this nonsense, and I hope that I’m delirious from sitting in front of this damn computer for so long.

First off, the waterheads that are marketing that thing don’t have one clue as to what that symbol really means. By putting Bush in the middle of the symbol aren’t they proclaiming his divinity? I’m pretty sure there’s something about that being a no-no somewhere in the Bible. No Gods before me or something like that.

Second off, don’t these bone-heads remember the episode in the Bible when Jesus loses his cool? He goes into the temple in Capernaum and sees people selling all kinds of knick-knacky religious shit and Jesus goes bezerk. He grabs a whip and starts beating people and then he overturns all their tables. Somebody should remind them that their savior said “Take these things out of here! Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!”

He also said “Render unto Caesar the things which are CaesarÂ’s, and unto God the things that are GodÂ’s,” but the fundamentalists don’t really listen to that one either. The only one those hate-mongers seem to recall with amazing clarity is Leviticus 18:22-23. Pick and choose I guess.

You know what, let’s just do away with the pesky democracy thing and institute an aristocracy that rules under the auspices of divine right. At least that way I’ll know for certain which way to turn when getting punched in the face.
