I Think I Know This Woman

I think her husband drove my bus in high school. If not, they behave remarkably similar.

Our driver got pulled over with a busload of students on board (This was almost 15 years ago). Apparently, it is illegal for students to be running around while the bus is in motion, sitting on the backs of the seats, and generally acting like fools. He was also swerving, but that was because we were throwing pencils at the back of his head.

He was an entertaining guy. He also had one of his front teeth missing. It got knocked out while he was drinking a bottle of beer and he got in a “very minor” wreck. We weren’t witnesses to this (damn it) but he told us about it quite often.

Those kids will cherish the memory of that bus driver for years to come.

Ahhh…memories of childhood…
