Sorry. No bloggery today. Maybe later tonight.
Just a quick question: Did earth’s orbit move nearer to the sun without us knowing? The temperature rose higher than 90 degrees today. Need I remind anyone that it’s the month of APRIL and not August?
God. By September I’m just gonna be a puddle of sweat with shoes and a hat.
“Here is no water but only rock
Rock and no water and the sandy road
The road winding above among the mountains
Which are mountains of rock without water
If there were water we should stop and drink
Amongst the rock one cannot stop or think
Sweat is dry and feet are in the sand
If there were only water amongst the rock
Dead mountain mouth of carious teeth that cannot spit
Here one can neither stand not lie nor sit
There is not even silence in the mountains
But dry sterile thunder without rain
There is not even solitude in the mountains
But red sullen faces sneer and snarl
From doors of mudcracked houses” – T.S. Eliot “The Wasteland”
Yes the earth is moving closer to the sun. I say closer I think that it is more like hurtling. Explains a lot doesn’y it.
Well, we can only hope that we miss the sun and slingshot around it and travel back in time en mass. And hopefully on the other side gas won’t cost $3.00 a freaking gallon. And the Star Wars sequels won’t have sucked quite so bad. And I wouldn’t have had long, head-banger hair in high school.
So maybe it’s not a bad thing.
On the other hand the sun might incinerate us, which would obviously be a downer.
